Why This Children’s Book Series Resonates With Kids
Yiannis’ Great Adventures speaks to something every child understands.
The fear and excitement of change. Whether it’s starting a new school, moving to a new town, or simply facing the unknown, Yiannis’ story gives young readers a gentle, imaginative way to process those same feelings alongside him.
Yiannis’ Great Adventures is a children’s book series that all starts in a quiet antique shop in Greece., where a mouse named Yiannis makes his home inside a beautiful blue cabinet. He has a full life with great friends and places that he loves to visit.
When the cabinet is sold and shipped across the sea to New York City, Yiannis’ world is turned upside down.
Far from home, he must navigate a bustling new city, make unexpected new friends, and face his fears.
But through it all, Yiannis discovers that home isn’t just where you live— it’s where your heart, your memories, and your dreams belong.

My grandchildren loved both books about Yiannis’ adventures- Volume 1 and 2. I have an 8, 11 and 13 year old and they all loved the story.
